What’s that you say? Formula One music? Well, this video is one of my all time favorite things to listen to. I figured since this is a music blog, this video would be very appropriate. Just listen to the sounds of those Ferrari engines over the years. Make sure you turn this one up real loud. Even if you are in a cubicle at work, crank it up!

Just a quick post for today. This is a video I watch from time to time. Always puts me in a good mood. How can Mario music not cheer anybody up? He starts out with a blindfold on, then cranks up the awesome dial to 11. See if you can pick out which game each song is from. I believe he covers music between the first NES Super Mario Bros. up to Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo.

Free 8-Bit Weezer Tribute Album

Hey Weezer fans! I know there are a lot of you out there, I’m a passive Weezer fan. I’ve actually seen them in concert. I think it was in 1996 or 1997. They opened for No Doubt and Ednaswap opened for them. It was a great show.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this here 8-bit Weezer tribute album. It’s pretty awesome. If you’re unfamiliar with the world of 8-bit awesomeness, let me explain a bit. There are some cool tools to crack into an original Nintendo Entertainment System. These tools allow the user to play with all the sounds the NES is capable of producing. This means that it can be played almost as if it were a synthesizer with truly original Nintendo sounds. In other words: the greatest thing to happen to music since the Fender Stratocaster!

I’ve just begun listening to this Weezer album, and it’s awesome. Very well done. The songs are performed by different artists, so it stays quite fresh throughout. I found out about it by searching for Anamanaguchi, a band featured on College Humor’s show Bleep Bloop. Oh, I forgot to mention that the entire album is free! Yeah!

A good music lover always needs some musical paraphernalia. Goodbye Blue Sky just hooked up with AllPosters.com so that means I get to plug their stuff and make a couple of wooden nickels if my wonderful readers buy things from that site, woo!

So, I’m starting out with one of the greatest album covers of all time: Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here. I’ve sat and stared at this poster for probably many hours over the course of my life. I don’t even do any drugs and I still stare at the thing.
